Building a better world through financial inclusion
Part of the IPF Group, the European Home Credit (Provident) team in Romania is a non-bank financial institution. We were the first company in the country to launch the concept of home loans. And now we’re a European leader in home lending, supporting responsible lending and financial inclusion by offering low value, short term loans, that customers can repay in equal installments, weekly or monthly.
We believe that every Romanian has the right to access financial services to develop and improve their living standards. Since 2007, we have served over 1.2 million unique customers, many of whom started their credit history with us.
Everything we do is based on the three simple principles of being responsible, respectful and straightforward. We are very transparent and we ensure that we give everyone the opportunity to get to know us and understand our business model and the services we offer.
Working here
We are, first and foremost, a company for and about people. We like sincerity and flexibility, because the truth is that we are all different and all have different needs. We know that a fixed work schedule is not necessarily the best solution for everyone. That’s why we offer our colleagues a flexible schedule, allowing everyone to find the right balance between their work and personal activities that suits them best.
Your wellbeing always comes first, because we know that contented people produce better results. We have a number of initiatives that are designed to ensure the best possible employment experience. These include: wellbeing programs, access to sports facilities, and internal competitions in which you can measure your strengths against colleagues. We also organise over 500 personalized training sessions each year and give colleagues access to external learning resources.
Regardless of your role or personal skills, you’ll find new learning opportunities here and the chance to make a big difference to your life and those of our customers. You will also benefit from having access to a team of mentors who are ready to support and drive your learning and development.
Personal development
Our ambition is that all our people have access to high-quality, relevant development opportunities. We have several globally consistent development programmes that cover the entire organisation. Through our learning pathways, we now have development programmes in place for Customer Representatives, Customer Service Centre operatives, Operational Management and Senior Leaders.
We have partnered with global experts, like LinkedIn Learning and Harvard Business School to provide genuinely best-in-class development materials & experiences for our people. As well as curricula-based development programmes, we also have our Global Leaders Connect programme to develop up-and-coming talent and our new annual IPF Learning Festival, where the entire organisation joins together for a week of focussed development.
Whichever role you join us in, we offer training to help you settle into your new role when you first join us. After that, your manager will work with you to set personal goals and kickstart your development journey.
In addition, all Customer Representatives benefit from having a detailed training plan. As the face of the company, Customer Representatives play a vital role in finding the right solutions for our customers, which is why we provide technical training around all of our products, so that we can match the right solutions to our customers’ needs. Customer Representatives also receive customer service training as well as learning about how we live our Purpose and values.
Much of this training will take place on-the-job, as you interact directly with customers, collecting instalments, selling our services, conducting marketing activities, and working to meet business goals. To provide help and guidance, a more experienced colleague will be assigned to every new team member and will be available to mentor you.
