Building a better world through financial inclusion
The satisfaction of our colleagues is just as important to us as our customers.
Join us, and you’ll become a member of the European Home Credit team working under the Provident brand. We’re a supportive, innovative and international company that has been operating in Hungary as part of the IPF Group since 2001.
Working here
We’re proud to have won the Best Workplace Award three times in the corporate category. And our Top Employer award wins are evidence of how we care for our employees through our sustainability and wellbeing programs.
We offer a welcoming and fast-moving environment in which, for many roles, you can combine working from home with the office. We know how important flexibility is, so let us help you draw up a work schedule that balances your work responsibilities with commitments in your personal life.
Ours is a diverse community in which you’ll be able to count on your colleague’s support at any time. Expect also for your health and well-being to be a priority, with many family and sports events, as well as volunteer programs designed to help in this important area.
And, if you have opinions on what we do and how we could do things better, we’ll welcome hearing for you. Because everyone has the opportunity to make a big difference here.
Personal development
Our ambition is that all our people have access to high-quality, relevant development opportunities. We have several globally consistent development programmes that cover the entire organisation. Through our learning pathways, we now have development programmes in place for Customer Representatives, Customer Service Centre operatives, Operational Management and Senior Leaders.
We have partnered with global experts, like LinkedIn Learning and Harvard Business School to provide genuinely best-in-class development materials & experiences for our people. As well as curricula-based development programmes, we also have our Global Leaders Connect programme to develop up-and-coming talent and our new annual IPF Learning Festival, where the entire organisation joins together for a week of focussed development.
Whichever role you join us in, we offer training to help you settle into your new role when you first join us. After that, your manager will work with you to set personal goals and kickstart your development journey.
In addition, all Customer Representatives benefit from having a detailed training plan. As the face of the company, Customer Representatives play a vital role in finding the right solutions for our customers, which is why we provide technical training around all of our products, so that we can match the right solutions to our customers’ needs. Customer Representatives also receive customer service training as well as learning about how we live our Purpose and values.
Much of this training will take place on-the-job, as you interact directly with customers, collecting instalments, selling our services, conducting marketing activities, and working to meet business goals. To provide help and guidance, a more experienced colleague will be assigned to every new team member and will be available to mentor you.
Areas we recruit into
-
Based in Budapest, our Head Office roles include senior managers and the teams delivering critical business functions such as Finance, IT, Credit Risk, Human Resources, Marketing and Legal. Our Head Office teams play a vital role by providing our organisation with the information, innovations and support they need to help our customers.
-
This function provides the engine that drives the entire organisation and the interface with our customers. This is a large team, consisting of sales management and support and of course, our Customer Representatives. Because of the need to be close to our customers, these roles are spread across the entire country.
-
Our Customer Representatives are crucial to the success and growth of our company. They are the people on the front line of our business, making direct contact with our customers and delivering our products and services face-to-face.
Our Customer Representatives have a real sense of pride in helping their community and making a positive contribution to the wider economy.
-
The teams in our Customer Service Centres are often many customers’ first point of contact with the company. They are responsible for helping customers who may have questions or require advice about their loan or other product or service. Excellent communication skills and empathy are a must, as is the determination to provide a first-class service for our customers. This is a role that lets you work flexible hours, in the office and at home and has proved to be a springboard in other roles within the company.

Information flows at the speed of light in this business, and it’s the job of IT to protect it and clear a path for it. IT at Provident is hugely influential. Our IT teams play a critical role in helping the business to improve the experience of our customers when they interact with us. If you want to make a big difference, to be influential, to have your ideas heard, to talk one-to-one with IT Directors, and to deliver tech that changes a business and its customers’ lives for the better, we’re a great choice.
